Assistant Manager (Part-time)

ThriveKids™ has an immediate opening for a part-time Assistant office manager/ whipper snapper! Are you driven and excited by a role you can sink your teeth into and feel as though you are going to contribute to something meaningful?

This is the role for you! Reporting to the CEO of the company, your role as an Assistant Manager Programs will involve leading the internal administrative operations including ownership over the ThriveKids™ class curriculum, scheduling and aligning the staff to the schedule. You will help manage the classes and registration, assist with staff coordination, and everything in between.

Must haves:

  • Strong computer and software skills, must know Excel, Word and PowerPoint intimately
  • Should have back-end software class/curriculum and scheduling experience, as well as registration and scheduling experience either in the kids programs or camps industry or related industry. Experience with the “ACTIVE Camps and Classes software a HUGE plus.
  • Some HR and staff relationship experience
  • Some experience working with kids or in an organization focused on education or programs with children between 3 and 13 (some experience working with exceptionalities an asset)
  • Will also engage in curriculum development and teach classes when required
  • Will Liaise with the TDSB and school partners – must have a professional acumen 
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects on the go
  • Excellent Communication and writing skills – Some experience with Quickbooks or able to understand data entry into Excel
  • Some Marketing and or Digital/Social Marketing
  • High energy and commitment to the job and allot of passion and compassion

Start Date: Immediately

Job Type: Part-time to Full time (20 to 35 hours per week) 

Salary: $15 to 20 an hour

Lead Mentor (Part-time)

At ThriveKids™ we don’t believe in labels but we do believe in developing the most advanced and creative after school programs and camps available. As a Lead Mentor, you will be responsible for developing curriculum and leading kids programs for “Spirited” kids, ages 4 to 14, and for neurotypical kids as well. Our programs are proprietary and unique and we need your help supporting our programs and our exceptional clients! 


ThriveKids, a unique program for all kids, with and without exceptionalities, is looking for amazing Lead Mentors for the amazing kids who attend our programs. The position will start at 20 hours per week.

Job Summary


You will execute a proprietary 20/20/20 (20 minutes of fun vigorous exercise, 20 minutes of Life Skills training and 20 minutes of mindfulness, social skills and relaxation), implement Food is fuel, STEAM  (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) curriculum and facilitate group skills/team building.


Please note that this role requires working with a group of kids, not one to one, whereby strong communication and group facilitation skills are required.


Reporting to the CEO/ Founder, the following are the requirements for the role(s);


Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both in a verbal and written manner.
  • Strong group facilitation skills – the role will require facilitating activities with a group of kids, not one to one.
  • Ability to accept supervision and guidance
  • Experience with program planning and implementation
  • Experience working with children with a variety of needs/diagnoses (sensory processing disorder, feeding concerns, fine motor delay, gross motor delay, writing issues, Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, DCD, etc.)
  • Good character, integrity, and adaptability
  • Self-directed, self-learner and willing to work independently
  • Available to work after school and evening hours during the weekdays and possibly weekends
  • Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control
  • Clearance of Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency First Aid.
  • Computer skills – able to use Excel and experience with data and metrics
  • Open to learning support skills such as, office, technology and marketing/ social media etc. 
  • Be independent and self-motivated and driven!

Required experience:

  • Working with or knowledge and exposure to Children through other programs: 2 years
  • Working with or knowledge and exposure to Children through other programs: some knowledge or exposure to children with ADD, ADHD, and social behavioral challenges: 2 years
  • Educational knowledge of Pediatric Psychology or similar field/ discipline: At least 1 year

Job Type: 20 Hours Weekly, $14 to $16 hour
